Teenager critical after fall at shopping centre
A 15-year-old boy is critically ill after falling from a footbridge at Manchester’s Trafford Centre in what police have described as a “tragic accident”.
Police investigating the shopping centre fall initially arrested five teenagers, but released four yesterday.
Greater Manchester Police said the boy remained in a critical condition in hospital after falling from the covered walkway at about 8.15pm on Saturday.
The force said initial inquiries suggested he may have been involved in an altercation with a group of youths, but officers no longer believe that to be the case. One teenager is helping police officers with their inquiries.
