Glorious Sir David
Thank goodness for David Attenborough. In times of political deadlock and division there is at least one thing that brings the country together: universal appreciation of the warm, soothing tones of the nation’s premier naturalist. For more than half a century Sir David has accompanied us on grand tours of the Earth’s flora and fauna – each time managing to reassure us that, no matter how gloomy things seemed, our blue planet offered marvels and beauty to wonder at. He was at it again last night, with Blue Planet II, a celebration of almost miraculous diversity – in everything bar its title.
