Coronation Street actor on sex assault charges
A Coronation Street actor has been charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a woman.
Bruno Langley, 34, who announced he was leaving the ITV soap at the weekend in the wake of the allegations, is due to appear at Manchester magistrates’ court on Nov 28, police said.
In a statement, Langley, who has played the role of Todd Grimshaw since he was 17, denied the claims.
Greater Manchester Police said that it received a report at around 1am on Sunday, Oct 1, that a woman in her 30s had been sexually assaulted at a music venue on Swan Street in the city’s Northern Quarter.
