Golf-pro convicted of bombarding his ex-girlfriend with 80 texts a day
A doctor was harassed by her golf professional ex-boyfriend who called or texted her up to 80 times a day over a five-month period after she broke off their relationship.
Sara Bradbury-willis, 37, of Machynlleth, Wales, suffered panic attacks after Andrew Humphreys bombarded her with thousands of messages.
Humphreys, the head professional golfer at his local club, sent Dr Bradbury-willis up to 100 unsolicited emails a week – often “nasty and negative”.
Humphreys, 33, was convicted of harassment at Caernarvon magistrates’ court and given a suspended six-week prison sentence, a five-year restraining order and ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation.
Dr Bradbury-willis said: “I felt like a prisoner in my own mind, let alone the house.”
