Boys accused of school gun plot are remanded
Two 14-year-old boys accused of plotting a massacre at a school were yesterday remanded in custody at a youth court.
The pair, who were arrested in raids at their family homes in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, on Saturday and later charged with conspiracy to murder, are suspected of planning an attack on a secondary school in the county.
After a 15-minute hearing at the court in Leeds, Judge David Kitson remanded the pair in youth detention until Dec 4, when they will appear at Leeds Crown Court. Both indicated they will deny conspiracy to murder. One of the boys will also deny a charge of aggravated burglary.
