Split shift

-

A farm marooned in the middle of the M62 in West Yorkshire will be used to “sink” pollution caused by heavy traffic. Stott Hall farm’s owners, Yorkshire Water, will turn land sandwiched between the west and eastbound lanes into a “farm of the future”. Peatland bogs will be restored to absorb carbon dioxide from pollution. It will remain a sheep farm and a haven for merlin, snipe and twite birds.
