Tom Hardy’s ‘tasteless’ flue upsets neighbours
Tom Hardy’s neighbours have complained to the council over a chimney he put up without planning permission at his £3.4 million home.
The 40-year-old actor, who starred in Dunkirk and Mad Max: Fury Road, has offended locals in Richmond, west London, by erecting a wood-burning stove flue that they find “tasteless”.
Hardy made a retrospective application for permission for the flue, which was initially refused by planners at Richmond council.
He then appealed against the decision, before officials ruled it should be allowed under “permitted development rights”.
