Appalling acid attacks
SIR – It is hard to believe that, in today’s London, innocent people are being blinded by acid attacks (report, November 4). This appalling crime deserves the greatest condemnation, and punishment of offenders.
Some expression of society’s outrage from politicians, preferably the Prime Minister, might at least suggest the gravity of the situation and the urgent need to arrest the spread of this atrocious criminality.
