A Big Hand for the Little Lady (1966)

 A bunch of card players gather for their annual poker game in this clever western comedy, reminiscent of The Sting and Maverick. Joanne Woodward plays a meek farm wife who has to take her gambling obsessed husband’s (Henry Fonda) place at the table after he loses everything and falls ill from a heart attack. Jason Robards, as a flint hearted shark, and Kevin Mccarthy, as a stylish rogue, keep her on her toes.
