Body of ‘suicide’ marine being flown back to UK
The body of a Royal Marine who died in a suspected suicide will be flown to RAF Brize Norton today.
James Holloway, of 42 Commando, died on Oct 29 aboard RFA Rosalie, a support vessel that replenishes warships, while it was alongside in Dubai. The Royal Navy was investigating, but sources said it was being treated as a suspected suicide.
A Navy spokesman said: “The cause of death is still under investigation. However, we can confirm it was not as a result of operational activity. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends at this sad time.”
