Croatian businessman to fight €100m extradition
A businessman described as one of Europe’s “most wanted fugitives” is fighting his extradition to Croatia where he faces fraud charges relating to around €110 million (£88 million).
Ivica Todoric, 66, founder of Agrokor, Croatia’s biggest private company, was arrested yesterday after he handed himself in to Scotland Yard’s Extradition Unit. He was granted bail at Westminster magistrates’ court later the same day.
Todoric faces charges, which he has denied, relating to Agrokor’s finances. Timothy Otty QC, his lawyer, said he intended to contest his extradition.
