Japan’s Black Widow to be hanged for murders
A woman dubbed the Black Widow, who tricked elderly lovers into drinking cyanide and then pocketed millions in insurance payouts and inheritances, has been sentenced to death in Kyoto, Japan.
Chisako Kakehi, 70, will be hanged for murdering three men, ending a high-profile case that has gripped the country. Kakehi became notorious over the deaths of her lovers, drawing comparisons to the spider that kills after copulation.
