Two guilty of killing student on Hallowe’en

-

A teenager and 21-year-old man are facing life sentences for their part in a horrifying Hallowe’en night of violence which left one man dead and two others seriously injured.

Scotty Kouebitra, 22, was setting off fireworks with friends in a park in Croydon on Oct 31 last year when he was chased by a group of up to eight men in balaclavas and hoods with blades, baseball bats and a screwdriver.

The part-time student was stabbed to death. At the Old Bailey yesterday, a 17-year-old boy, from Wallington – who cannot be named because of his age – and Jahliel Rose, 21, of Thornton Heath, were found guilty of murdering Mr Kouebitra.
