Holiday Inn owner under fire over living wage

A row has broken out between Intercontinental Hotels and London mayor Sadiq Khan over claims the Holiday Inn owner refused to honour a 2012 commitment to pay the London living wage to staff in the next five years. IHG’S boss said the rise in employment costs meant it could not pay £10.20 per hour to all staff.
