Timepieces fly as Cartier owner reports profit rise

Sales at Cartier owner Richemont jumped 10pc to €5.6bn (£4.96bn) in the six months to September 30, propelling operating profit 46pc higher year on year. It said it achieved double digit sales growth in the UK. This follows an earlier warning from the group that its sales were being hurt by the rise of Apple Watch.
