Towie star’s ex-boyfriend guilty of club acid attack

The ex-boyfriend of Ferne Mccann, the star of The Only Way Is Essex, has been convicted of a nightclub acid attack that took place while he was out celebrating her pregnancy.

Arthur Collins, 25, of Broxbourne, Herts, the father of Ms Mccann’s newborn daughter, threw the substance over a crowd at the Mangle E8 in Dalston, east London, on April 17.

He was convicted at Wood Green Crown Court yesterday of five counts of causing grievious bodily harm with intent and nine counts of causing actual bodily harm against 14 people. He said he did not know it was acid.

Collins was warned to expect a “very substantial custodial sentence”.
