Bacon sandwich

Triptych 1974-77 by Francis Bacon, which sold for £26million in 2008, will go on show as part of Tate Britain’s All Too Human exhibition next year. Bacon painted it in response to the death of his lover George Dyer in 1971. His work will join that of Lucian Freud, RB Kitaj and Paula Rego in the presentation of figurative painting, opening in February.
