Bush Snr accused of groping girl of 16

- By Rozina Sabur in Washington DC

A SIXTH woman has claimed she was groped by George HW Bush, claiming the incident took place when she was just 16 years old.

The former US president apologised after reports that he had inappropriately touched women while posing for photographs. Roslyn Corrigan said she posed for a photograph with Mr Bush in 2003 at a gathering of CIA officers in Texas, where her father worked.

“He dropped his hands from my waist down to my buttocks and gave it a nice, ripe squeeze, which would account for the fact that in the photograph my mouth is hanging wide open,” she told Time magazine. When previous allegations emerged Jim Mcgrath, a spokesman for Mr Bush, blamed being in a wheelchair for his arm falling to people’s lower waist.

Ms Corrigan said the explanation had prompted her to speak out about her experience when Mr Bush was 79 years old and not using a wheelchair.
