Cash rollover

The Daily Telegraph - - Letters To The Editor -

SIR – There is a way to flatten out creases in the new plastic £5 and £10 notes (Letters, November 14), and that is to fold the note back on itself at the crease and roll the crease between the forefingers and thumbs. Paul Murray

SIR – My method for our shop tills is to put a small, paper-wrapped bundle of notes under our heat press for 30 seconds. This is risky, but satisfying.

A far better long-term solution would be to issue them exclusively to ladies and gentlemen, who will always carry an unfolded purse or wallet. Keith Mungham
