TURKS RETREAT 50 MILES.
Last night the Secretary of the War Office issued the following: Our forces, after the most successful actions at Tekrit on Nov. 5 and 6, remained at that place until Nov. 8, the whole of the Turkish forces opposed to them having been withdrawn thirty to fifty miles northward, with the exception of a small detachment at Sharaimje. The clearance of the battlefield, and removal or destruction of everything of value having been accomplished, our troops returned to their original positions, according to plans drawn up prior to the advance.
