British judge quits over Kosovo mission fears

A British judge leading the European Union’s rule of law mission in Kosovo has resigned while warning of corruption within the deployment.

Malcolm Simmons told Le Monde he feared the mission “wanted certain individuals removed from political or public life”. The EU responded that the allegations were being investigated.
