Blue Planet II sound tested on normal TV

-

THE makers of Blue Planet II are watching each episode on a normal television to test sound levels following complaints about audibility, it has emerged.

The team behind the BBC show view their work on an ordinary television, in an effort to ensure sound levels work for audiences at home.

James Honeyborne, the executive producer, defended the programme against accusations its music is overpowering, using a normal television rather than a studio for final edits.

“We huddle around a TV in the corner of this huge room, and sit and listen to the finished film,” he said.
