£35m investment to keep passengers connected on train

POOR mobile signal and internet connection on trains is set to become a thing of the past under a £35million investment outlined yesterday.

Railway lines across Britain will benefit from a cash injection to improve the connectivity of mobile devices. The Government will fund the installation of improved trackside infrastructure along the routes.

Ernest Doku, of uswitch, said it could remove the “digital void that leaves thousands of commuters unable to work as they head into the office”.
