Recorded setters

SIR – Gill Smith (Letters, November 22) is incorrect when she refers to setters of “all three types” being used for ski-towing in Scandinavia.

There are in fact four setter breeds; she forgot the most beautiful of them all, the ancient Irish red and white setter, officially classified as a vulnerable native breed and believed to be rarer than the giant panda. Jan Bardey
