Australia’s One Nation falters

The resurgence of Australian nationalist politics has been halted in Queensland, with the One Nation party at risk of being almost wiped in state assembly elections.

The centre-left Labor party was leading after three quarters of votes were counted following Saturday’s poll, while One Nation had not confirmed victory in a single seat.
