Dark clouds

Authorities raised the alert for a menacing volcano on Bali’s Mount Agung to the highest level yesterday. They issued a “red warning” to airlines and ordered people living within six miles to evacuate. Ash covered roads, cars and buildings, while overnight a red glow of what appeared to be magma could be seen. When the volcano last erupted in 1963, more than 1,000 people were killed.
