Family favourites

-

SIR – Frank Hill makes a valid point about his wife’s cookbooks bearing the stains of memorable family gatherings (Letters, November 24).

He asks whether anyone has a tablet with genuine food memories. The answer is yes, as my wife converted all her best and most-used recipes into one format and self-published an e-book called My Family Favourites Recipe Book. Now our children, relatives and friends can share the same “family favourites” in perpetuity.

SIR – I am not sure how many memories they hold, but my children’s tablets have certainly collected more food stains in their relatively short lives than many of our family cookbooks.

Fortunately, they are much easier to clean. Matthew Tinson
