Suicide by cyanide

 Hermann Göring killed himself in 1946 by swallowing a cyanide capsule the night before he was to be hanged for crimes committed as one of the most powerful figures in the Nazi party.

 Michael Marin was a successful Wall Street investment trader who, in June 2012, took his own life by swallowing cyanide pills after the judge delivered a guilty verdict for arson.

 In July 2013, Steve Parsons swallowed cyanide in a courtroom in Maryville, Missouri, after being convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl. He died a few minutes later.
