- By Margi Murphy

THE employee who silenced Donald Trump’s Twitter account on his final day at work has been revealed as Bahtiyar Duysak, a German citizen who attended Birmingham University.

For 11 minutes on Nov 2, the US president’s account was suspended, sparking hysteria across the social network.

Going public in an interview with Techcrunch, a technology news website, Mr Duysak admitted he approved suspension of Mr Trump’s account following one violation complaint. “It was a mistake,” he said. “I had a wild time in America and I was tired.”

But then he cryptically told Techcrunch: “Sometimes everyone makes a mistake and it might be that I did [make] a mistake. But of course, not only one human being can make this sort of mistake.”
