TV host’s on-air apology for ‘flaws’

Matt Lauer, host of NBC’S popular morning show Today for 20 years, apologised for what he called his “troubling flaws” in a statement yesterday, the day after the network fired him for inappropriate sexual behaviour.

The married 59-year-old is the latest front-line figure in US media, entertainment and politics to be felled by accusations of sexual misconduct.
