Waving broadcasters

SIR – Virtually all the interviewers on television now wave their hands about when talking. This is a fairly new development. When I was young we regarded this as a Gallic sign of excitability.

I have tried to see if there is any pattern to the movements but so far I cannot detect any. Leonard Capp
