BUCKINGHAM PALACE December 5th

The Queen this afternoon received Colonel the Reverend Richard Whittingto­n who delivered up his Stick of Office upon his retirement as Harbinger of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The Queen received Major David Kennard who received his Stick of Office upon his appointmen­t as Harbinger of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointmen­t as Her Majesty’s Ambassador­s: Mr Christophe­r Allan (the Republic of Uzbekistan), Mr Duncan Norman (the Republic of Albania) and Mrs Theresa Bubbear (the Republic of Estonia).

Mrs Allan, Mrs Norman and Mr Alan Bubbear were also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Keith Allan was received by The Queen upon his appointmen­t as British High Commission­er to the Republic of Mauritius.

The Queen held an Evening Reception at Buckingham Palace for the Diplomatic Corps at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were present.

CLARENCE HOUSE December 5th

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Prince’s Countrysid­e Fund, this morning received Mr António Horta Osório (Group Chief Executive, Lloyds Banking Group plc).

His Royal Highness, Commodore-in-chief, Royal Canadian Navy (Fleet Atlantic), received Commodore Craig Skjerpen.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon chaired a Meeting of The Prince’s Council at Buckingham Gate, London SW1.

His Royal Highness this evening received the Hon John Kerry (former United States Secretary of State).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, Medical Detection Dogs, this afternoon attended the Charity Day at ICAP plc, 2 Broadgate, London EC2

His Royal Highness, Patron, Barnardo’s, later received the Lady Amanda Ellingwort­h (Deputy Chairman).

BUCKINGHAM PALACE December 5th

The Duke of York, Patron, the Place (London Contempora­ry Dance Trust), this morning received Ms Clare Connor (Chief Executive) and Ms Veronica Lewis (Principal).

His Royal Highness, Past Captain, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, this afternoon held a Lunch at Buckingham Palace for Past Captains.

The Duke of York, Patron, Whitgift School, later received Mr Geoffrey Wright (Chairman of Trustees) and Mr Christophe­r Ramsey (Headmaster).

His Royal Highness afterwards received Mr Herbert Wigwe (Group Managing Director, Access Bank plc).

The Duke of York, Founder, Pitch@palace, this evening held a Dinner at St James’s Palace to launch the 2030 Vision initiative in support of the United Nations Global Goals.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE December 5th

The Countess of Wessex this morning opened the new Woking Hospice, Denton Way, Goldsworth Park Centre, Woking, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-molyneux).

Her Royal Highness subsequent­ly visited the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre, 51-53 High Street, Guildford, Surrey.

KENSINGTON PALACE December 5th

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, this afternoon received Lieutenant General Philip Jones upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Colonel of the Regiment and Major General Ralph Wooddisse upon assuming the appointmen­t.

ST JAMES’S PALACE December 5th

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, the United Grand Lodge of England, this morning received Mr Peter Lowndes (Pro Grand Master).
