Perfecting the G&T

SIR – I have kept frozen lemon and lime slices for use in G&TS (Letters, December 5) for some years.

The gin and the tonics should also be kept in the fridge. There is then no need for the ice cubes that water down the drink and clatter into one’s teeth. Peter Stevenson
