Party asks faithful to pay £2m fine

Hungary’s main opposition Jobbik party has launched a crowd-funding campaign to pay a £1.8million fine for breaching rules on political funding that, it said, could cripple it in the run-up to parliament­ary elections in April.

Prime minister Viktor Orban’s populist Fidesz party is currently far ahead in the polls.
