Legal threat not behind report decision says FCA

The Financial Conduct Authority has hit back against reports that it did not publish a confidential document into RBS’S treatment of struggling firms due to the threat of legal action. It said the reason it did not publish the report into the bank’s Global Restructuring Group was as it could not seek consent from individuals named in the report.
