Legal threat not behind report decision says FCA

The Financial Conduct Authority has hit back against reports that it did not publish a confidenti­al document into RBS’S treatment of struggling firms due to the threat of legal action. It said the reason it did not publish the report into the bank’s Global Restructur­ing Group was as it could not seek consent from individual­s named in the report.
