UK down to eighth place in ‘Good Country Index’

-

The UK has slipped down the rankings in the global “Good Country Index” which tracks how much nations contribute to the “common good of humanity”.

The UK slipped from seventh to eighth place but still does more “good” and less harm than more than 150 other countries.

Using 35 separate indicators – sourced from the UN, World Bank and other international organisations – the survey examined the good each country does for humanity as well as what it takes away.

The Netherlands was ranked first overall while Afghanistan came last.
