Trio renew sex claims against president
THREE women renewed their allegations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump yesterday and called for a congressional investigation.
Jessica Leeds, Samantha Holvey and Rachel Crooks appeared on US television together to repeat claims first made during last year’s election campaign. Ms Holvey, a former contestant in one of Mr Trump’s beauty pageants, said he had ogled her “like a piece of meat” and his election win had been a “very sombre day” for her.
Ms Crooks, a receptionist at Trump Tower, said: “He held on to my hand, he kept kissing me, he went back and forth multiple times, and then he kissed me on the lips. I was shocked.” Ms Leeds said when she sat next to him on a plane in the Eighties “he was all over me kissing and groping”.
Three Democrat senators called on Mr Trump to resign over the claims. They included Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, a potential 2020 presidential nominee. She said: “President Trump should resign. These allegations are credible, they are numerous. I’ve heard these women’s testimony, and many of them are heartbreaking.”
The White House said: “These false claims, totally disputed in most cases by witness accounts, were addressed at length in last year’s campaign.”
