‘Rooftopper’ killed in fall after climbing skyscraper
A well-known Chinese “rooftopper” fell to his death after climbing to the top of a skyscraper in a £11,000 challenge he hoped would help lift his family out of poverty.
Wu Yongning, 26, died on the 62-storey Huayuan Hua Centre, Changsha, in central China, as he attempted to earn 100,000 yuan (£11,300) for a video clip promoting an unnamed sponsor.
The former film stuntman had one million followers on a Chinese social media site and was known for scaling skyscrapers without safety equipment.
