Homeless get Christmas dinner at Euston station
Euston station will open its doors to 200 homeless people on Christmas Day to offer them dinner and a place to sleep. For the first time, the concourse will be filled with decorations and tables will be laid out to serve guests a full Christmas dinner.
Around 30 volunteers from Network Rail will team up with the homelessness charities St Mungo’s and Streets Kitchen to help run the event.
No trains are running on the day and Steve Naybour of Network Rail’s track team, said: “Because I wasn’t scheduled to work, myself and a handful of colleagues came up with this plan to feed some of London’s homeless instead.”
