Tories lift suspension for MP who said racist word
Anne Marie Morris, the Tory MP, has had the party whip restored after apologising for using racist language.
Theresa May ordered the Conservative whip to be suspended in July after it emerged Ms Morris had described the prospect of Britain leaving the European Union without a deal as “the real n----- in the woodpile”.
The Newton Abbot MP said her use of the “inappropriate and offensive language” was a mistake.
