‘I said no a million times’: student’s text to young actor after alleged rape
♦ A student actor raped a fellow undergraduate before receiving a text that said: “I said ‘no’ a million times”, a court heard.
Jack Green, 19, allegedly forced himself on the woman, also 19, at his student flat after a drunken night out.
Later, when she texted him saying: “I didn’t want to do it – I said ‘no’ a million times”, he sent messages saying: “Just forget about it, it’s done, it’s in the past, leave it. I’d go to jail, I’d rather die.”
The woman told Manchester Crown Court: “He gripped my neck at one stage. I couldn’t do anything. I didn’t want to have sexual intercourse with him but he didn’t stop.”
Mr Green was arrested shortly afterwards in his student accommodation. He said he and the woman had kissed at a nightclub and went back to his room, where they had sex. He said after a minute or two she said “no” and he stopped, pulled up his trousers and apologised.
Mr Green, from Abertillery, in Monmouthshire, denies rape. The trial continues.
