British murderer appeals verdict

British banker Rurik Jutting yesterday launched an appeal in Hong Kong over his conviction for double murder. Jutting’s lawyers claim the judge misdirected the jury as regards their client’s “abnormal mind”. Jutting admitted killing two Indonesian women in his apartment in 2014, but denied murder, claiming diminished responsibility due to alcohol and drug abuse and sexual disorders.
