Fracking failure

SIR – I wonder if the anti-fracking activists are proud of what they have achieved: a Britain dependent upon foreign gas suppliers and facing a crisis this winter.

If the opportunity to pursue fracking had been taken from the beginning, Britain could be well on course to being self-sufficient by now. Well done, people. Richard Whitney
