Boiled eggs for tea

SIR – Erica Barrett’s primary-school class found another use for sugar tongs (Letters, December 14).

My grandson picked up a teastrainer and asked if it was for getting boiled eggs out of the pan. I now use it for getting boiled eggs out of the pan. Jacqueline Mccrindle
