Dispute over architect’s plans for home museum
A row has erupted over an architect’s plans to turn his £5.5million home into a museum which he says will be a “significant cultural benefit”.
Neighbours are objecting to the proposal brought forward by Charles Jencks, 78, who wants to give tours to visitors to his home in London’s Holland Park, which will house the archives of other architects too.
Mr Jencks set up Maggie’s Cancer Care Centres with his wife Maggie Keswick-jencks, prior to her death.
Council officers have recommended that the planning committee approves the application on Tuesday.
