Revenge killing

A Palestinian who stabbed an Israeli police officer was himself shot dead last night. Mohammed Aqal, 29, attacked the officer at a checkpoint in the occupied West Bank while wearing what appeared to be a suicide vest, before being shot three times by police. A Palestinian medic who helped evacuate the man for treatment said the vest was fake. Three other Palestinians were also shot dead by Israeli forces in clashes along the Gaza border yesterday, as tens of thousands joined new protests against Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
