Philippines storm leaves 30 dead

A slow-moving storm has caused landslides and floods that left more than 30 people dead and several others missing in the central Philippines, officials said.

Thousands of holidaymakers had also been stranded. “There is a total of 26 people dead from landslides in four towns of Biliran. We have recovered the bodies,” said Sofronio Dacillo, a disaster management official.
