Turkey condemns Austrian ‘racism’

Turkey sharply criticised the incoming Austrian government, a coalition between conservatives and the far-right, yesterday for “racism” and “discrimination” in opposing the country joining the European Union.

Sebastian Kurz, 31, the chancellor-elect, already has a fractious relationship with Ankara due to his staunch opposition to Turkey’s EU bid while serving as foreign minister.
