Poundland owner faces crunch talks

Poundland’s South African owner, Steinhoff, is facing crunch talks tomorrow with lenders to discuss refinancing options following an accounting scandal that has dragged the conglomerate’s shares down by 80pc. Credit insurers Atradius and Euler Hermes have reportedly reduced cover to Poundland’s suppliers in recent days.
