American jailed for raping five teenagers

 An American citizen raped five teenage girls – the youngest aged only 13 – while living in London after blackmailing them on Snapchat and Instagram, a court heard.

Eniola Balogun, who turned 20 last week, persuaded young girls to send him intimate photographs on social media before threatening to distribute the images unless they had sex with him.

Balogun, who had been living with relatives in Tottenham, north London, admitted four counts of rape against four girls, aged between 13 and 16. He also pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of a child.

He had been found guilty of a further three counts of raping a 16-year-old girl, following a trial in March at Wood Green Crown Court.

Balogun was yesterday jailed for 21 years. He will be placed on the sex offenders register for life, and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order.

Detectives fear Balogun may have targeted more young victims who have not been traced and urged them to contact police on 101.
